Graduation Ceremony of the Children’s University of Nuremberg
On July 11, 2025, this year’s graduation ceremony of the Children’s University of Nuremberg took place at the Kulturwerkstatt Auf AEG. 99 children aged 8 to 12 received their diplomas for successfully participating in six events as part of the “General Studies” program.
As UNESCO Chair in Digital Culture and Arts in Education, we were very pleased to be part of the event with a lecture by Prof. Dr. Benjamin Jörissen (FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg) on “Artificial Intelligence or Artificial Stupidity?”, in which he explored the opportunities and challenges of AI in education. We are already looking forward to continuing the collaboration with a workshop on AI during the Children’s University Horticultural Day on November 19, 2025.
The Children’s University of Nuremberg is coordinated by the Department of Culture and Leisure and will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. The new program for the winter semester 2025/2026 will be released in September.
